In the intimacy of small groups led by experienced teachers, spend five and a half days immersing yourself exploring the realm of dreams. Each participant will have the opportunity to explore a series of dreams through a unique process called String Therapy.
String Therapy is a process similar to psychodrama - the dreams are given the opportunity to become embodied so the dreamer can learn more about the teachings of their unconscious.
Watch a String Session
The following is a video of string work done at one of our retreats in early 2010. The dreamer is Robin Chase, one of our teachers and the strings are led by Marc Bregman. Included in the video is commentary by Christa Lancaster and Marc.
A unique language develops within each group based on the material each person explores. The groups provide a supportive container to feel more deeply into the places that our dreams call us toward.
Retreats begin on Tuesday at 9am and end on Sunday at 11am.
Next Retreat:
- Winter - January 24-29, 2012
- Summer - July 10-15, 2012
From Carol Paquette:
"What surprised me was how much it meant to me to be a witness to the other members of my group. Being at the retreat continues to bring me to a deeper level of commitment. When I'm up on "the mountain" I have never felt more like myself and believed more that I am good enough..."

From Elaine Lubin:
"From the first time I came to the mountain on retreat, I knew I would always come again. I realized that here I could allow the real me to be seen, the real me behind the person I so carefully crafted to both please the outside world and to keep it at arms length..."

From Jo-Elyn Nourie
"Having just begun my own dreamwork with NOE, I knew within a couple of sessions that the work was proving very meaningful to me, and so I decide to attend the summer retreat. When I first arrived and entered the barn where everyone was gathering before small group work, I was instantly struck by the openess of all the faces of people warmly greeting each other..."

From Hugo Liepmann:
"I am new to dreamwork, having started in the summer of 2007. This last retreat was my fourth NOE Retreat. I felt safe and supported at my very first retreat, and feel increasingly comfortable - as well as challenged - at each successive one. I am entering my mid-seventies, and am pleased to find that age is irrelevant at a NOE Retreat..."

After a full day of working in small groups, the evenings have evolved into a time for people at the retreat to be visible in a different way. For two nights, people have the opportunity to read their poetry, perform music, do skits.

This is too big for anger,
it’s too big for blame.
We stumble through history so
humanly lame
So I bow down my head
Say a prayer for us all
That we don’t fear the spirit
when it comes to call
