Taught by Susan Marie Scavo, Director of North of Eden Press, Co-Editor of Deluge and Archetypal Dreamwork Therapist/Teacher and Karla VanVliet, Co-Editor of Deluge and Archetypal Dreamwork Therapist/Teacher
We learn through story because story and metaphor allow us to have an experience, to feel into rather than just understand. Metaphor is the key that opens the door to story, teaching us experientially and gradually, through knowing rather than through just our intellects.
We will explore myths, fairy tales, formative childhood stories, and our own dreams, from the Archetypal perspective. The intention of the class is to have these stories, both the public and private, be a way to enter into our own creative world; to enter into the creative in order to explore our own narrative in a new way.
Each class will include significant time to enter that creative world. We will write and explore ways to use stories to open ourselves in that place of creation, allowing space and time for our own creative life to emerge. We will offer techniques to facilitate this process.
