The basis for this class is working with the "Submit a Dream" program.
Students work with the format of focusing on responses to the dreams that have come into the website, carving out time each week to focus more on the therapist training aspect of what we are doing.
Dream responses by their limited nature are not therapeutic. Responding to them however, gives us lots of opportunity to look at issues related to therapist training. We are learning to meet a dream and we are learning to meet the dreamer who sent that dream in.
Topics that will be covered in this class will include:
• What are associations and what does one need to know in order to begin to work with a dream?
• How do you look at the intention of a dream, the belly button, without getting lost in trying to interpret the dream?
• What is the difference between how we work with a dream and interpreting a dream?
• When do you make a statement about a dream and when do you ask questions?
• What is a seam and how do you respond to something that is not in the dream, or is it?
• What is a discrepancy and how do you recognize it in a dream?
• What is a qualifying question and how do you ask a dreamer questions?
• How do you educate and what do you educate about when responding to a dream?
• What is the story line of a dream?
• How to stay with the specificity of the dream?
• Staying clear about what is actually in the dream as opposed to the dreamers or your interpretation.
• What does it mean to set a stake in the truth of a dream?
• Intro to some astrological concepts in relation to a dream.
• Where am I in my work and how can I use doing a response to work my edge.
Because it is an ongoing class, the costs for the class will be monthly. This monthly fee is less than one half of the costs of a regular Center class. This is due to the nature of the outreach aspect of this class and participants help with this outreach.
The total costs for a 4 week month with dreams (one dream a week) is $52 or $40 if someone wants to be part of the program without doing any dream responses.
