Musicality III - Advanced Musicality

Taught by Bob Murray with Jeremiah McLane and Deb DeGraff

A brand-new and very exciting offering, this will be a prep/training class for people who are interested in being part of a choral group with the potential, we hope, to eventually perform in public (retreats certainly, perhaps a song or two at Bob & Jer concerts, possibly even NOE events at some point, and who knows what beyond that). Accordingly, there will be a stronger component of musicianship in this class than in either Musicality I or II—for example, we’ll be learning harmonies and working on pitch and finding ways to blend our voices in ways that enhance the richness and beauty of the songs. Not unlike Musicality II, however, we will continue to explore our homework edges as they arise by way of the music and vulnerability and relationship, being fully transparent with one another about feelings and reactions, all within a tight and supportive container.

Enrollment is by audition only. Some singing background would certainly be of benefit, but is by no means a prerequisite. Rather, if you feel that the true voice that lies within you has the potential and desire to join with others on behalf of this glorious work and NOE as we step more into the world, then let us know of your interest.
