Information for Attending Classes/Webinars Long Distance Via Webex

To all students attending classes through the Center for Archetypal Dreamwork via WebEx:

Welcome. The NOE Tech Team is dedicated to making your experience taking classes from long-distances as easy and enjoyable as possible.

We want to give you a simple walk thru about what to expect in joining our classes via WebEx video conferencing.

If you have a computer with a built-in web cam you will be all set for hardware. If your computer does not have a camera, an external one can be purchased for about $50. It connects to your computer quite easily through a USB port. The camera is not needed for you to see us but is necessary for us to see you.

Approximately one day before each class you will receive a WebEx invitation coming from "Deborah DeGraff" or "Group Leader" email address. In the invitation there will be a link to join the class you are attending. If you have never used WebEx, please join the class 25 minutes early just in case you have questions or difficulties.

Once you join through the link, you may be asked questions such as your name and email address. Please out these in. You may also be asked to put software on your computer. Please allow this.

Once you join the class, you will be given a phone number and access code to dial in with your phone. This will give you the audio portion of the class. There is an option to have the audio go through your computer. However, the quality of audio via your computer is dependent on your internet signal strength. We recommend you use a land line or cell phone.

Please note: The phone number for the class will also be in the e-mail invite. Please join the meeting through the website first, before calling in.

Once you are in the meeting, you will see a gray video camera icon next to your name. Click on it to activate your camera and the icon will turn green, which means you are sending your video and we should be able to see you.

You will also see an icon that looks like a microphone with a line through it. This is to mute your audio going out. Please mute yourself unless you have a question during class.

If you have a question during class, click on the icon that looks like a hand to notify the tech team that you have a question. They will let the class teachers know.

In the video window there is an option to make your picture bigger by clicking on a 4-way arrow icon in the upper right corner. It may also appear as a multiple person icon.

We will go over all of these steps when you are joining the class. If you have an issue connecting through the phone system you may reach one of us at the cell numbers below.
