What is a Dreamwork Retreat?

Archetypal Dreamwork Retreats are four and a half day weekend retreats offered several times a year at the North of Eden Retreat Center in northern Vermont.

Our program consists of small groups working with individual’s dreams, facilitated by Marc Bregman, the founder of Archetypal Dreamwork, and a team of experienced group leaders.

The process of a dreamwork retreat revolves around our unique String Therapy, a deep, immediate way of working with dreams. String Therapy allows the unconscious material of a dream or series of dreams to come into the present moment in order to discover and explore the core learning of the dream for the dreamer. Each participant will have the opportunity to have a series of dreams enacted and experienced by members of the group. After each string experience, we will explore and process the effect of the string work for each person in the group. This is an exciting and dynamic way of engaging both the dreamer and the whole group.

Due to the intimate nature of the string work, most of the work happens in the container of small groups of 8-10 participants. However, on at least one evening, we meet as a large group to experience the string process in the larger arena of all participants at the retreat.

Who Should Attend?

Dreamwork retreats are both for people who are currently doing dreamwork and for people who are not but are interested in exploring the possibility. It is for people who are interested in intensifying their inner work through the group process.

A retreat is for you if you are interested in exploring the dreamwork and want to experience focusing on your own process while working with and witnessing others in an intimate, safe and beautiful environment.

What to Expect

The process will take shape in two forms:

SMALL AND LARGE GROUPS

The main work of the retreat will be in small groups people with two facilitators each. And, everyone will also gather several times as a large group to widen the circles of community.

SHARING AND STRING THERAPY

Besides conscious sharing and witnessing, the small groups will also use String Therapy. String Therapy is a new way of working with dreams using a variation of facilitated pyschodrama.
